Happy Monday!

• I leave Mum’s on Saturdays, and return on Tuesday I always return to stack of cleaned boxes. Mum can’t safely get into the cupboard they go in so I get neatly organised stacks. It’s very her!

• I finally defrosted Mum’s fridge, it’s needed doing for months. But Mum bought a new fan (to preserve my sanity in the heatwave) and I needed to do a towel wash so I decided to get it done. It took an hour (most of it hands off). There’s a lesson there somewhere but I’m too tired and hot to dig for it!

• The fucking foxes got at the compost this weekend. My neighbours feed them and this is the result.

• The last couple of weeks have actually been full of petty annoyance like this, My kettle died and fused the kitchen sockets. My favourite linen shirt is no more, I managed to smash a wine glass at mum’s, over the kitchen floor, into the hall AND the bathroom. The constant roadworks that are destroying my ‘commute’ to mums house. It’s been a very annoying.
• Finally, let’s end on a happy note. It’s strawberry season. My soft fruit empire grows!
