I was at the allotments both days this weekend and I even got some work done!

There’s no getting around it, the plot is a mess and I’m going to spend the next three months or so tidying up.

I started at the tomatoes. Picked the ones I could, cut down and weeded the bed.

Going to take more time than I had on Sunday. This bed was bugging me and so I also weeded that and the path next to it

I had some random leftover plants that went into the larger gooseberry bed and that got a weed but alas no photos.

My aim for next week is more tidying. I’d like to cut down the raspberries and weed the main path to the table. And tidy up the compost bin area. It’s the right time for weeding as the soil is demo but not sodden. I need a wood chip delivery too but that out of my hands. If there isn’t one by the end of November, I may have to buy some!

I took the garden waste bin home and realised that I’d left my tomatoes at the plot.

So I walked back and also cut some dahlias!

It’s not been the best gardening year but I’m chuffed about the dahlias!
