Happy Monday!

• I know that people don’t like international football but they are wrong and Ma and I are happy about it. So far we’ve watched a few games. We both prefer the matches on the BBC because then we can have the 5Live commentary too. We will be skipping the late matches, we are old and middle aged so anything after 11pm is just not going to happen. But it’s nice to see my mum watch football and see that her football brain is still intact.

• I finally caught the summer cold that’s been floating around. It’s not been too terrible and did function through it but I was just so tired! I slept for over nine hours last Monday!
• The cold arrived the week I was due to have some time off for some fun. Sue and I went to BBC Gardeners World Live. We came back with plants.

• One of the things, I love about London is that no-one on the Tube batted an eye at two women with a trolley of plants each on a Friday night!
• We are back to it being hot hot. Due to be 29c today and then in the mid to high 30s for the next couple of days. It’s not going to be fun. For those of you in the hell that is London in a heatwave, good luck. I’m going to live in front of a fan and hope for the best.
