Happy Monday!

- I’m busy all the time and for the last couple of weeks, I’ve dropped several balls. This space, ironing, the plot. Although I’m still trying to adjust to the autumn of it all, I’m ready to start picking some of the balls up again, but this morning did not go to plan!
- In keeping with the rest of the year, autumn has been too warm. I’m still in sandals, it was 26c last week and I’m trying to remind myself that it’s not terrible but we are getting less than 12 hours of daylight now and I want to stop worrying about watering the allotment. It’s very confusing..
- October is going to be a marathon. I have a day in Southampton, Mum has a hospital appointment, I have a smear test (I’m very fed up that they haven’t put me on the five year cycle for over 50’s and have kept me on three year cycle). There are good things too, I get to see Max and Chrissy, a day with Christelle, the allotment Halloween thing. By November, I’ll be ready to hibernate..
- I spent a day (ok two hours, it was not a long book) disassociating from the world with a book this week. Threshing Day came out and it was a fun time.

- I often make Nigella Lawson’s Chicken in a Pot with Lemon and Orzo, it’s something that I cook for Mum too. It’s from Cook, Eat, Repeat which is a book I finally got around to owning and this weekend, I read the recipe. I’ve been making it wrong since I started making it. I made it the right way this weekend, lessons have been learned!
- It’s also been a big week for processing tomatoes. So many tomatoes
