Happy Monday!

• Last week really felt like ‘back to school’. It’s the dark mornings, i know I do this every year but apparently my favourite time of year is when it’s light at 5am! I happily for me, and my hatred of early mornings, the light lamp is helping, I was working this morning and full of energy.

• I ordered some plants before the bank holiday and they have finally arrived. Did I have time to plant them out. Nope. They are currently watered and in the porch! I have some food plants due to arrive this week. Second time lucky but I can’t praise the customer service from Cornish Cabbage Plants enough!

• My anti SAD plan started last week which meant I spent a large part of the weekend, unfucking my flat. It’s not all the way tidy yet but I’m feeling more in control of it, I’m also (after five loads of washing in a day) up to date on the laundry and 60% through the ironing. I hoovered yet but next weekend it’ll all happen..

• I got a new cookbook last week It looks great but I really need to find a Sunday afternoon to cook from it.

• I’m rubbish at keeping in touch with people, especially people who live very far away, so it lovely when I manage to reconnect with them, which is something I did on Saturday with my friend Maxanne, who is back in Europe next month. We’re going to go out for drinks and I should also mention Chrissy, who is the complete opposite of me and is brilliant at keeping in touch with everyone! I’m really looking forward to seeing them both in person next month.

• Plans for this week are low key, my uncle is coming to see mum tomorrow, I’m going to Sue and Richard’s for dinner on Saturday (Richard is out of hospital and has what we all hope will be his final knee – three in less than a year has been hard but hopefully no more knees and no more infection!), Ma and I are planning a wheelchair excursion. I’m starting an 8 week course for work and I have big organisation/cleaning plans for home (I need to clean some windows at home and Ma’s net curtains need taking down and washing!)
