Happy Friday!
It’s been a while and I’m not sure I’ll be here regularly but I’m here for this week!

Single women are buying more houses. The men they are dating are not responding well This is interesting albeit US focussed…
‘A weed is only a plant in the wrong place’: RHS Chelsea garden celebrates England’s edgelands. I’m spending this year trying to rescue the allotment from the wilder bits of it and this year I have ladybirds everywhere so there is something to be said for appreciating those spaces, the committee would not be pleased if all the plot looked wild and cinque foil is not a weed I tolerate – it is a weed I have though!
As Westminster rages, and Labour sinks into civil war: what about the people? I’m tired of this already, Keir Starmer was elected and should be allowed to carry on, changing the leader won’t help, it’s just a repeat of what the Tories did and proves that don’t have any solutions to the issues that people are upset about. Labour are trying to do two things in opposition to each other, keep the progressive left onside (people like me) and appeal to the ‘red wall’ voters in the North who are turning to Reform. You can’t do both. People who think voting Reform is an answer also think that immigration is the problem, it’s not, it’s a symptom and Reform policies won’t fix it. Most politicians have seen the problem but diagnosed it wrong, the problem is unrestrained capitalism. Neither the Tories or Reform are going to fix that but on it’s present showing, neither are Labour.
I Forgave My Mother, but It Was Too Late. That last line is the saddest thing I’ve read in a while. I’m glad that Ma and I always stayed up to fight and to forgive each other.
hello! Glad to see you blogging again.
