On the last day of 2013, it’s probably time to think about how it went. I think it’s been a pretty good year.

It’s not been a momentous year, yes, I turned 40, so if people could stop asking for ID when I try to buy wine or chocolates with alcohol in them (happened to me this weekend!) that would be good.

I went on holiday in April and didn’t in September.

Oli turned 4, Ma retired and life happened.

There was food and drink and time with people that I love

Some stuff wasn’t great though, in July, Tina died and I know that I’ll never quite get used to a world that doesn’t have her in it, I’m grateful to have known her and the best tribute I can give her, is to get on with the job of living.
