I didn’t read much at all this month, actually that’s not entirely true, I did read, I just didn’t read much new stuff, I spent three days in bed at the beginning of the month and read loads when I wasn’t asleep, but it was all comfort reading so I re-read the Anne of Green Gables books (all eight of them!), several Chalet School books and a hefty wodge of Georgette Heyer, minus the ones that Jo has borrowed and seriously, Christmas and her being back in the country is going to be so much nicer because the books come back too! Other than that, not much reading going on. I do read but in the morning on the way to work and then life and my need for sleep gets in the way…
The Waking Dark – Robin Wasserman
I enjoyed this. It is horror, it’s well written and stays with you but it’s not for everyone, like most good and scary books, it’s about what happens when people don’t care about the consequences and what other people think.
Team Human – Sarah Rees Brennan and Justine Larbalestier
This has been on my TBR pile for an age. I finally got around to reading it and really enjoyed it. So much to like. I’m lending it to Helene, go read.
This has also been hanging around my TBR pile forever. I found it hard to get into but then I was hooked. Cassel is smart and I liked him, I wanted him to be good. Enjoyed it and went straight to the second.
