Wednesday

Halfway through the week. So far, it hasn’t been a bad week but it hasn’t been brilliant either, the good and the bad are balancing each other out. It’s a pluses and minuses sort of week..

Good

The front of the house is being fixed so that should really help with the damp and the living room should be warmer this winter.

Bad

The builder leaves my bathroom in a mess every single day, so I come home and have to clean it. Washing the bathroom sink every day is not high on my list of enjoyable things to do!

Good

Weather is still unseasonably warm, the forecasters have been saying that that this week is the week that it’ll change but so far it hasn’t changed in London…

Bad

Sunrise was at 7.12am this morning, sunset will be at 6.19pm. As much as I wish it wasn’t happening, winter is coming!

Bad

I still haven’t done the ironing or swept the floor in the kitchen, I’m not keen on housework!

Good

Lots of things to do at work, most of them don’t suck

Bad

I seem to have damaged my left hand and it hurts and I’m having to do everything with my right hand. Which because I am left handed is the wrong hand!

Good

The hand issue means that I am excused from feeling guilty about the housework backlog!

That’s pretty much where I am, typing one handed and trying not to be grumpy. (Yesterday, Ma was wondering how it was that she got two such grumpy children, which I thought was hilarious as she was married to my father for 20 years so it shouldn’t be such a surprise!).

The week will get dramatically better after today though, cocktails at the OXO tomorrow (which I’m sure I can manage one handed!) and work team building (yes again!) on Friday! The trick to meh weeks is clearly having something to look forward too!
